Donor and supplier screening for Charities
In addition to the screening of investments for charities EIRIS also provides a donor and supplier screening service.

Many charities find that they are coming under increased pressure from stakeholders and media scrutiny to carefully select those suppliers & corporates that they work with.  Apart from the threat of reputational risk, many charities are keen to keep their stakeholders happy, be it members, or staff.

Our clients have found that there is a need to screen over and above the individual donor to include suppliers of goods and services and those that approach them with prospective partnership ideas.  The work that we do to align principles with action lends itself well to our ability to reflect your charities mission in your procurement/partnership policies.

We are able to asses your core mission and translate it for you in to a meaningful policy to be used in the filtering of research held in our Ethical Portfolio Manager software.  This gives you access to data on over 2600 Global listed Companies and facilitates your informed judgement in terms of who you decide to be seen to be working with.  Areas of research covered include:

The flexibility of our approach means that we can come to a judgement based on your beliefs rather than tell you what we believe and ask you to work with that.

The types of service that we offer to charities include:

Free policy creation service

We will email you a “Questionnaire Report” which contains questions on all the areas of research that we cover and ask you to fill this in.  We will then create your policy for you and await instructions!

Acceptable List

We will then quote you for producing a list of companies for you that reach your criteria, and, if you like, those that do not.

      Sector Report

If you would like to take a more proactive approach we can assess a whole sector for you against the criteria that you chose and provide you with a ranking which will show you who within the sector lies where.

The work that has been done on policy creation can be used as the basis for an Ethical Investment policy also.
