IFA Directory Search

Enquirers frequently ask if we can give them the names of IFAs who have experience in dealing with ethical funds. In response to this demand we have compiled a directory of IFAs who give advice on ethical investment.

You may either view an alphabetical list of firms in the directory or you can do a postcode search to find the five closest IFAs in your area who offer advice on ethical investment.

IFAs are included in our directory if they meet at least one of the following criteria:

they put more than £100,000 of business into ethical funds in the last financial year

they put more than 40% of business into ethical funds in the last financial year

they are current subscribers to the EIRIS Guide to Ethical Funds

These criteria for entry are applied to the firm at the branch or individual level where firms have several individuals listed in the directory.

The Financial Services Authority (FSA), is the independent watchdog set up by the government to regulate financial services and protect your rights.
By law, most financial services firms must be authorised by the FSA. The FSA aims to ensure that all authorised firms are run in a prudent and financially sound way, and it regulates the way many (but not all) of them do business with you. Financial advisers are only included on this list if they are authorised to give financial advice by the FSA. Definitions

Total business – total amount of money going into products that are available through ethical funds, such as unit trusts, endowments, life assurance, monthly savings, pensions etc in the year to 5 April 2002. Different IFAs may have calculated business figures using different methods and some IFAs are only able to give estimated figures. For this reason we have used percentage bands for the percentage of business that goes into ethical funds and the percentage of clients that invest ethically.
