The EIRIS survey
The EIRIS survey is a way for us to get the information that our clients require that is not already publicly available. We have taken steps to reduce the time needed to fill out our survey.
Our aim is to provide the most up-to-date and relevant research to our clients. In order to achieve this, we engage in constructive dialogue with the companies we research to ensure we provide the most recent and accurate information available.
The main way that we do this is through the survey that we send to companies to collect information that is not already publicly available. EIRIS places a high value upon the input that we receive from companies. The information that we receive from a company enables us to provide an accurate picture of its ESG performance.
EIRIS recognises that companies are frequently asked to complete sustainability surveys and that this represents a significant overhead. We have taken a number of steps to ensure that the time taken to complete our survey has been kept to a minimum:
- Companies do not have to complete the whole survey
- Our researchers will have already analysed the publicly available information on each company (e.g. their annual report, CSR report, website or similar)
- We will indicate which sections we require additional information for
- If you feel that this information is already available publicly simply include in your response where the data is published
With each survey mailing EIRIS will include an up-to-date profile for your company. If the existing record is, in your view, a complete summary of your responsible business performance please email us to say that that you have no further information to add. If you do want to provide additional data please email us so we know to expect extra information from you.
While we would prefer a complete response we have indicated which sections of our survey are of particular interest to our clients. We understand that companies may not have answers or information on every area, a partial response is better than no response at all.
