EIRIS’ Senior Management brings a wealth of experience in responsible investment leadership and expertise. The team is responsible for the management of EIRIS, leads on the strategic development of its global research and oversees management of its international client base.
- Peter Webster, Executive Director
Peter Webster has been Executive Director of EIRIS since its foundation in the 1980s, and has been involved in the promotion and development of responsible investment in its various forms throughout the last 25 years. Peter is a regular conference speaker as well as advising clients on the creation or development of new approaches to responsible investment.
His current interests in this field include how PRI signatories can implement the commitments they sign up to in ways that make a significant difference to corporate performance and reporting across all the Global Compact issues (Environment, Human Rights, Labour Standards and Combating Bribery); the most effective role investors can play in advancing the Climate Change agenda; and what can be learnt from the experience of responsible investors and the models of corporate responsibility that they have encouraged that is of relevance to the re-structuring of the present international financial system to re-build trust and confidence, and reduce the prospect of future 'crunches'.
Peter is Treasurer of the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance association (UKSIF).
- Carlota Garcia-Manas, Head of Research
Carlota joined EIRIS in April 2004 and is currently Head of Research. She provides research solutions to the client services team and strategic input to the Senior Management team. Carlota leads on EIRIS' research with particular emphasis on new methodology development, sector expertise and knowledge management. Besides her role as leader for content development, Carlota also provides managerial direction to the research team with over 30 researchers and partners globally. Over her time at EIRIS Carlota has led a number of projects included the development of EIRIS' methodology for the assessment of water risks, EIRIS Sovereign Bond product and areas of responsible finance. Carlota has been an active member of the UNEP-FI/GRI working group that developed the financial industry sector supplement to GRI guidelines. Carlota holds a degree in Civil Engineering and also has an MSc in Environmental Economics from Imperial College, London. In 2010, Carlota finished a Certificate of Higher Education in Management with Distinction. Before joining EIRIS, Carlota worked at London Remade and Bonn City Council in Germany.
- Mairead Hancock, Head of Client Services
Mairead joined EIRIS in 2001 and heads the client team which is responsible for looking after the needs of existing clients and developing new business. She works closely with FTSE and the JSE on their responsible investment indices as well as assisting a range of other clients to implement their socially responsible investment policies. Prior to EIRIS Mairead worked in tax accountancy, teaching and managed a research programme at the London Business School. She is a graduate in Business Studies with an MA in Linguistics and has completed her MBA at Warwick University in 2009.
- Stephen Hine, Head of Responsible Investment Development
Stephen joined EIRIS in 1989 and works to expand the market for responsible investment in the UK and beyond. He also assists in the promotion of both EIRIS’ services for investors and of socially responsible investment (SRI) in general, directly or through partnerships. He has worked closely with EIRIS’ overseas sales partners for the marketing of ESG/SRI data internationally. Stephen is also responsible for policy development at EIRIS, working with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), UK Sustainable Investment and Finance association (UKSIF), Eurosif, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI) and governments amongst others.
Stephen represents EIRIS on a steering committee working on the Voluntary Quality Standard for Corporate Sustainability and Responsible Research set up by independent SRI research groups in Europe. He is a Trustee of the FairShare Foundation and Treasurer of the Association for Independent Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility Research.

Sector team: Consumer Goods & Services
- Dawn McLaren, Head of Consumer Goods & Services & US Research Team
Dawn joined EIRIS in May 2002 and currently leads the Consumer Goods & Services and US Research Teams. She specialises in research on supply chain labour standards, including the Convention Watch International Labour Standards criteria. Dawn has an MSc in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Business Studies from Manchester Business School, and a Certificate of Higher Education in Management from Royal Holloway, University of London.
- Shohko Iwami, Research Analyst
Shohko joined EIRIS in May 2005. She is responsible for researching Japanese companies in the General Retail, Tobacco, Food & Drug Retail, and Personal Goods sectors, and specialises in supply chain labour standards. She has a postgraduate diploma in World Politics from London School of Economics and an MSc in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies. Prior to joining EIRIS Shohko worked for FARM Africa, an international development charity. As well as having worked as a consultant in the commercial sector, she has undertaken voluntary work for Amnesty International.
- Jennifer MacCarthy, Voting manager / Senor Research Analyst
Jennifer joined EIRIS in November 2007. She is a senior research analyst in the Consumer Goods & Services team and manager of the EIRIS voting service which provides ESG based voting recommendations to clients based on a voting policy for their portfolio. She completed an MA in Corporate Social Responsibility at the University of Nottingham in 2007 and prior to that worked as a Research and Admin Executive at The SMART Company. Her MA dissertation was published in 2009.
- Ran Sanghera, Research Analyst
Ran joined EIRIS in July 2008, and currently assesses companies in the Food, Beverages and General Retail sectors. Ran is an Associate Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (AIEMA), has an MA in Sustainable Business and BA in Environmental Management from the University of Leeds. Prior to joining EIRIS he worked as an Environmental Advisor for Groundwork and volunteered with the Real Food Team at Friends of the Earth.
- Valeh Tehranchi, Research Analyst
Valeh joined EIRIS in July 2008 as a researcher for the Johannesburg Stock Exchange project. At present she is a research analyst in the Consumer Goods & Services team. She assesses companies in the following sectors: Electronic and Electrical Equipment, Technology Hardware and Real Estate. Valeh has two BAs, one in International Relations from the University of Sussex and one in Business Studies and Marketing from University of Brighton. She also has an MSc in Globalisation and Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies.
- Hannah Watson, Research Analyst
Hannah joined EIRIS in July 2008 and currently works as a social, governance and environmental research analyst in the Consumer Goods & Services Team. She previously researched South African companies for the Johannesburg Stock Exchange project, prior to which she worked as the Research Administrative Assistant. Hannah completed a BA in Modern History at Oxford University in 2008.

- Coziana Ciurea, Screening Manager
Coziana joined EIRIS in 2008 and specialises in social, governance and environmental research for the Financial and Real Estate sectors. She previously worked as a consultant with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) where she was mainly involved in economic and social regeneration and project management. Coziana holds an MSc in European Politics and Governance from the London School of Economics and a postgraduate degree in European Studies from the University of Birmingham.
- Charlotte Hine, Research Analyst
Charlotte joined EIRIS in July 2008 as a researcher for the Johannesburg Stock Exchange project, with responsibility for researching social, environmental and governance issues of particular importance to South African companies. At present she is a research analyst responsible for social, governance and environmental research in the Financials, Telecoms & Technology sector. Prior to joining EIRIS, Charlotte completed a BA in History at Newcastle University, and undertook a research post at The National Archives.
- Franziska Jahn, Principal Research Analyst
Franziska joined EIRIS in March 2004. She has lead the roll-out of EIRIS’countering bribery criteria in 2009 and EIRIS project finance criteria in 2006. She is responsible for the specific methodology areas of Code of Ethics and Countering Bribery, the financial sector and for bespoke client work. Prior to this position Franziska worked as a Research Analyst in the team with responsibilities for Health and Safety. Franziska has got a MA degree in German literature and theology with a particular focus on business ethics at Johann-Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt in 2003 (distinction). Her masters dissertation on the quality of ethical research institutes was published in March 2004.
- Kazutaka Kuroda, Research Analyst
Kazutaka joined EIRIS in November 2008 and currently responsible for environmental, social and governance research of Japanese companies in the financial and technology sectors. He also specialises in environmental solutions, fossil fuels, ESG risk management, executive remuneration, and responsible investment including project finance, Islamic finance, and responsible sovereign bonds investment. Kazutaka started his career at EIRIS as a climate change intern in August 2007 and has contributed to company and sector research on the issue. Kazutaka holds a MSc in Environmental Policy and Regulation from London School of Economics and Political Science. He is a CFA Level II candidate and holds the CFA UK Level 3 Certificate in Investment Management and CMA (Chartered Member of the Security Analyst Association of Japan). Before joining EIRIS, Kazutaka worked for Okasan Securities Co., Ltd. as an equity investment strategist.
- Chris Monks, Research Analyst
Chris has been at EIRIS since June 2009, and is currently in the Financials and Technology team. Prior to EIRIS, Chris spent six years at Henderson Global Investors, an asset manager in the City of London, as a senior fund administrator for their Hedge Fund and Structured Finance products teams. Chris holds the Investment Management Certificate, and has previously been registered as a general representative with the FSA, as well as holding trading licenses with the LIFFE and EUREX derivatives exchanges. He also spent a six-month internship at Forum For The Future in several projects relating to sustainable business. Chris has a BSc (Hons) in Economics and International Politics, and is soon to graduate from London Metropolitan Business School with an MSc in International Business and Sustainability.
- Sheila Stefani, Senior Research Analyst
Sheila joined EIRIS in January 2007. Sheila is responsible for the research on the Italian market and Precious Metal Mining companies and specific research areas, which are Indigenous Rights and Health and Safety. Before joining EIRIS, Sheila gained experience working in research for the United Nations Development Programme Millennium Campaign. Sheila has an MA in International Political Economy from the University of Warwick and BA in Development Studies and Social Anthropology from the University of East London.
Sector team: Industrials
- David Tozer, Assistant Head of Research & Head of Industrials Team
David joined EIRIS in 1993 and is currently Assistant Head of Research and also heads the Industrials Research Team having previously led the Governance Team. He has particular responsibility for overseas research partners and for the research audit and quality programme, having successfully led EIRIS’ effort to gain certification to the Voluntary Quality Standard for independent research organisations. He also continues to oversee EIRIS' company coverage and has previously developed methodologies and been responsible for a number of research areas. David studied in Canada and gained an MA in Geography. Before joining EIRIS, he co-founded an environmental resource centre and played leading roles in community based campaigns.
- Alessandro Bracaglia, Research Analyst
Alessandro joined EIRIS in May 2009 and is specialist military and nuclear power research analyst in the Industrials team. He is also responsible for companies in the aerospace and defence sector. Alessandro was previously a political consultant in Italy and holds and MScEcon in the European Policy Process (public policy analysis) from Cardiff University and a BA in Politics and History from the University of Rome.
- David Cockburn, Senior Research Analyst
A qualified physicist, engineer and social scientist, David specialises in the Arms industry. Having worked for 20 years in the UK, Europe and US Defence industries, in technical, management and marketing roles, he has a BA in Physics, an MA in Systems Engineering and an MA in Peace Studies. He joined EIRIS in February 2001. He leads research into involvement in Defence, Military and Nuclear Power.
- Oliver Jackson, Research Analyst
Oliver joined EIRIS in November 2008 as a research analyst in the Industrials team. He is responsible for social, governance and environmental research in the Support Services and General Industries sectors. In 2008 he completed an MA in Corporate Social Responsibility at the Nottingham University Business School, having previously studied physical geography at undergraduate level. Prior to joining EIRIS Oliver conducted research on behalf of the Achilles Group where he researched market drivers for the development and implementation of carbon footprinting tools.
- Patrica Legrand-Hamilton, Research Administrative Assistant
Patricia joined EIRIS in April 2004 and provides administrative support for the research team. Patricia is responsible for the profile mailouts to companies, updating systems, monitoring EIRIS press coverage and responding to general research enquiries concerning EIRIS’ research.
- Rieko Suzuki, Research Analyst
Rieko joined EIRIS in September 2010 and is responsible for social, governance and environmental research of Japanese companies in the Industrials and Utilities sectors. She has a BA in International Relations from Temple University and an MSc in Environment and Sustainable Development from University College London. She gained her research experience through previously being an intern at EIRIS and assisting the Japanese team’s engagement with companies. Prior to joining EIRIS Rieko worked as a profile analyst of Global Data at Bloomberg.
- Peter Williams, Research Analyst
Peter joined EIRIS in July 2008 as a research analyst working on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange project, with responsibility for researching social, environmental and governance issues of particular importance to South African companies. He has since joined the Industrials team and is now responsible for research in the Construction and Industrial Engineering sectors. In 2007 he completed an MSc in Business and Community at the University of Bath, having previously studied Business Studies at undergraduate level. Prior to joining EIRIS Peter worked in project management for an advertising agency specialising in the construction industry.

- Louise Tippet, Head of Resource & Pharma Team
Louise joined EIRIS in 1995. Her specialist research area is Human Rights and she is the project manager for the Convention Watch service which analyses allegations of breaches by companies of international norms. Louise has an LLM in Human Rights (Merit) from Birkbeck University Law School, London; the subject of her Masters’ dissertation was the potential for Alien Tort Statute litigation to hold companies accountable for human rights breaches. Louise also has an MSc in Information Science (Distinction) from City University, London; the subject of her Masters’ dissertation was online retrieval of environmental information for businesses. She previously worked as a researcher for a large City accountancy practice where she co-authored a business information publication. Louise also has an Institute of Linguists' professional qualification in translating from Spanish into English.
- Josh Brewer, Acting Head of Financial & Technology Team
In addition to being Team Leader for the Financials and Technology team Josh leads on the EIRIS news monitoring service and is editor of EIRIS' monthly publication Corporate Ethics Overview. Josh has an MA in Humanitarian and Development Practice and previously worked in the Economic Justice team at Save the Children UK. He joined EIRIS in April 2006.
- Typhaine de Borne, Senior Research Analyst (Paris Office)
Typhaine joined EIRIS in February 2007 and researches companies in the Extractive sector (mainly mining). She acts as lead for the Human Rights area for Convention Watch. Since October 2008 she is based in EIRIS' offices in Paris. She previously gained experience in international institutions (ICC and NATO) and NGOs before working in the LSE University library. She has Masters degrees from the University of St Andrews and the Political Studies Institute in Paris where she wrote a dissertation on human rights.
- Michal Frances, Research Analyst
Michal joined EIRIS in October 2010, and researches the environmental, social and governance performance of companies in emerging markets. In addition Michal is responsible for index and company coverage. She has an MSc in Development Economics from SOAS, and previously worked at the World Health Organisation.
- Etsuko Ito, Research Analyst
(Japan)
Etsuko joined EIRIS in July 2010 and is responsible for researching environmental, social and governance criteria for Japanese oil & gas, mining, chemical and pharmaceutical companies. She holds an MSc in Gender, Development and Globalisation from the London School of Economics. Etsuko has previously worked for client relations and business development for a Japanese corporation in Germany. She also worked for Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) Frankfurt, researching economic related topics in Europe, Africa and Middle East. She has undertaken voluntary work for the United Nations Population Fund as well as Médecins Sans Frontières Japan.
- Phillipp Kloucek, Research Analyst
Philipp joined EIRIS in November 2010 and is responsible for researching environmental, social and governance criteria for emerging market companies. He also monitors corporate mergers, acquisitions and takeovers and is responsible for the administration of the EIRIS universe of companies. Prior to joining EIRIS, Philipp gained research experience through an internship at the National Environment Authority of Panamá (ANAM). He holds an MSc in Environmental Engineering together with a Diploma in Business Management from Imperial College London and a BSc in Environmental and Resource Management from the Brandenburg University of Technology (Germany).
- Yumika Mochizuki, Research Analyst (Japan) (On maternity leave)
Yumika joined EIRIS in May 2005 and is responsible for researching all the governance, social and environmental areas of European companies in metals, mining, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors as well as Climate Change issues. She also manages a research project for the Johannesburg Stock Exchange Socially Responsible Investment Index. She has a BSc in Chemistry from Tokyo University of Science and an MSc in Environment and Sustainable Development from University College London. Yumika previously worked for Friends of the Earth Japan co-ordinating an international conference on global warming and has volunteered for international development charity Plan International UK as a marketing researcher in the fundraising department.
- Svetlana Perevalova, Research Analyst
Svetlana joined EIRIS in June 2008 and researches oil and gas, mining and pharmaceutical companies’ environmental, social and governance performance. She has an MSc in Ecology and Environment from University Paris - Sud 11 and and an MSc in Environmental Geography from University Louis Pasteur, Strasbourg. Svetlana previously worked as an environmental Research Analyst at Trucost.
- Naomi Selby, Research Analyst
Naomi joined EIRIS in July 2010 as a researcher for the Johannesburg Stock Exchange project. She currently works as a research analyst in the Extractives and Pharma team, analysing companies in the oil & gas, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. Prior to joining EIRIS she spent three years in investment banking as an analyst and then associate, primarily focussed on the energy sector. Naomi has a BA in Philosophy and Italian from Bristol University.
- Sarah Williams, Engagment Manager / Research Analyst
Sarah joined EIRIS in June 2009 and currently works as a research analyst in the Resources & Pharma team, and is responsible for ESG research for companies in the energy and pharmaceuticals sectors. Sarh also manages the research process for EIRIS' engagement service. Prior to joining EIRIS she completed a Masters in 2008 in Corporate Responsibility at the ICCSR at the University of Nottingham, and before that completed undergraduate training in Economics at Nottingham Trent University. She also completed an internship at AccountAbility, working on a project on the auditing of social and environmental voluntary standards and certification in the global agriculture sector.
US Research Office
- Kathryn Allan, Research Analyst (USA, Boston Office)
Kathryn joined EIRIS in December 2008 as a research analyst for the US team. She focuses on US companies in the aerospace and defence, pharmaceutical and biotechnology, food production, and travel and leisure sectors. Kathryn earned an MA in International Relations from the University of Chicago, and a BA with Distinction in Foreign Affairs and Spanish from the University of Virginia. Prior to joining EIRIS Kathryn worked as a researcher at Calvert, an asset management firm which provides sustainable and responsible investments
- Molly Betournay, Senior Research Analyst (USA, Boston Office)
Molly joined EIRIS in December 2009 as a senior research analyst for the US team and head of the EIRIS USA office, based in Boston. She focuses on US companies in the Consumer Goods and Services sectors. Molly holds a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from the University of New Hampshire. Prior to joining EIRIS Molly worked as the Lead Sustainability Research Analyst at Pax World Mutual Funds where she evaluated the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance of companies being considered for investment, engaged with companies around ESG issues, and oversaw proxy voting.
- Ben Collins, Research Analyst (USA, Boston Office)
Ben works part-time as a research analyst for the US team. He focuses on US companies in the basic materials, financial, and electrical utilities sectors. Ben holds a BA in Social Studies from Harvard College. Before joining EIRIS Ben was a research analyst at KLD Research & Analytics.
- Andrew Gaynor, Research Analyst (USA, Boston Office)
Andrew joined EIRIS in July 2010 as a research analyst for the US team. He focuses on financial, resource extraction and electric utility sectors. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Southern Maine. Prior to joining EIRIS, Andrew worked at Ceres, a Boston-based coalition of investors, NGOs, and companies working towards sustainability in capital markets. He provided research support for their Oil and Gas, Insurance, and Electric Utility Industry Programs.
Client Team
EIRIS has a team of dedicated client care specialists. They work with clients to help them develop and implement responsible investment policies using EIRIS' research and expertise, respond to client queries and provide training on EIRIS software tools.
- Emma Cahill, Client Relationship Manager
Emma joined EIRIS in February 2011 and is responsible for client relationship management and market development amongst UK retail fund managers. Emma also works with large index providers on responsible investment indices. Emma holds a BSc in Science from University College Dublin, an HDip in Business Studies from the Smurfit School of Business (Dublin) and an MSc in Business and the Environment from Imperial College, London.
- Jaspreet Duhra, Senior Relationship Manager
Jaspreet joined EIRIS in April 2006. Jaspreet works with a number of index providers and institutional fund managers on their responsible investment indices and strategies. Jaspreet is also responsible for the growth of EIRIS' client relationships in Asia and South Africa as well as the development of new research on the client team. In 2010 Jaspreet gained the Investment Management Certificate. She holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a BSc in Geography and Geology from the University of Manchester. Prior to working in the client team Jaspreet worked as a Research Analyst at EIRIS and as a Sustainability Analyst at Sustainable Finance Ltd.
- Lisa Hayles, Head of Client Services (USA)
Lisa joined EIRIS in November 2003 and is responsible for client relationship management, marketing and new business development among fund managers offering retail investment products. Lisa is also responsible for supporting the growth of EIRIS' client relationships in North America. In the UK, she serves as a resource person on Responsible Investment issues to several independent investment committees. She has more than eight years experience in responsible investment having previously worked at the Social Investment Organization in Toronto where she was Assistant Director. Lisa holds a BA in Political Science and History from the University of Toronto and an MSc in Planning and International Development from the University of Guelph (Canada).
- Victoria Heath, Head of Business Development
Victoria joined EIRIS in 2003. She is responsible for focusing on client relationship building and providing innovative solutions for new and existing clients. Her main focus at EIRIS is on charities, charity fund managers, religious organisations, wealth managers and all clients in Ireland. Victoria is a board member for ECCR (The Ecumenical Council for Corporate Responsibility) and is on the editorial board of Wealth Briefing. She has spoken at many events including the UK and Irish Pension Fund Summit and conferences on charity investment. She has many years' experience in sales and marketing, and project management within the IT and financial sectors. Victoria is a graduate from the London School of Economics with a BSc in Social Psychology.
- Nadia Laine, Head of Client Services (Europe)
Nadia joined EIRIS in September 2004 and is responsible for providing support to the company's growing European client base, as well as overseeing new business development and marketing. Nadia is currently based in EIRIS’ London office but spent a year in France in 2008/2009 where she was responsible for establishing EIRIS’ Paris office. She has participated in and presented at numerous conferences on responsible investment and teaches at SKEMA Business School in Nice (formerly known as CERAM). Nadia holds a BA in European Studies from the University of Leeds, a MSc in Comparative Politics (Nationalism & Ethnicity) from the London School of Economics, and the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) from the CFA Society of the UK. Prior to joining EIRIS, Nadia worked as an analyst for the Corporate Executive Board, a best practice research and executive education firm.
- Marion de Marcillac, Client Relationship Manager
Marion joined EIRIS in March 2010 and is based in EIRIS' Paris office. Marion is responsible for client support and new business development in France. She has in depth experience in responsible investment having previously worked at Eurosif, the European Sustainable Investment Forum, where she was Head of Research. Prior to that her previous positions have included liaising with the Corporate Partners of WWF France, communications and event organisations in the Media field. Marion holds Masters Degrees in Business (Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris - 1997) and Management of Corporate Social Responsibility (Université Paris XII - 2006). Marion is a board member of the FIR, the Forum de l’Investissement Responsable.
- Zita Moran, Client Relationship Executive
Zita joined EIRIS in February 2009 and is responsible for handling client requests and queries, supporting the account managers and producing client reports. She holds an MA in History and Classics from the University of Edinburgh.
- Marthe Marie Nordby, Client Relationship Manager
Marthe joined EIRIS in March 2010 and is responsible for client relationship management and market development in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Marthe has got prior experience in investment and finance and worked as a Fixed Income Inter Dealer Broker and in the Pan European Equity Market for the London City based firm Mint Partners for two years. She holds an BA in International Business from the European Business School London, and an MSc in Management, Organisation and Governance from the London School of Economics.
- Jamie Nulph, Client Sales Executive
Jamie joined EIRIS in November 2010 and is responsible for new business development and providing sales and events support to the client team. She holds a BA in Political Science from the University of California and an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics.
- Sarah Wareing, Client Sales Executive (On maternity leave)
Sarah is responsible for generating new business and for supporting the account managers in delivering EIRIS's services to clients. She joined EIRIS in September 2009 after working as a recruitment consultant. Prior to that, Sarah worked as an account manager for a multinational business services company. She graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2004 with a BA in History.
Market Development & Communications Team
This team co-ordinates communications, branding, PR, press and website development and works closely with the client team to assist with the marketing of EIRIS products and services. The team also has a remit to develop initiatives to promote and develop the market for responsible investment.
- Mark Robertson, Head of Communications
Mark joined EIRIS in September 2004 having previously worked as research manager for an investor relations consultancy. Prior to that he worked as sustainable development officer at the London Borough of Ealing. A graduate in Environmental Science from Greenwich University, London, Mark has responsibility for planning and delivering a varied programme of press, PR and communications activities to promote EIRIS, its research and its products and services for investors. He is responsible for key initiatives to develop the market for responsible and ethical investment including www.YourEthicalMoney.org - the UK’s first ever one-stop-shop consumer website on ethical money. Mark is an advisory board member for National Ethical Investment Week, a campaign to promote responsible investment in the UK. He is also a qualified Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (ACIM).
- Virginia Jennings, Communications & Events Coordinator
Virginia joined EIRIS in January 2010 as a communications and events assistant. Virginia works with the marketing and client teams, organising a series of EIRIS and Foundation events and webinars, and responding to consultations on behalf of EIRIS. Virginia also assists with the Your Ethical Money and Charitysri websites. Virginia holds an MA and an MSt in Modern History from Oxford University, a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP Law School and she has completed the Legal Practice Course, a vocational training course, at the College of Law, London Moorgate. Before joining EIRIS Virginia was a trainee solicitor at a leading international corporate law firm.
IT & Application Development Team
This team provides IT support for the organisation and is responsible for the development of EIRIS' software tools including EIRIS Ethical Portfolio Manager and internal applications.
- Phuc Huynh, Applications Development Manager
Phuc joined EIRIS in April 2004. He gained a Law LLB from Exeter University before deciding to pursue a career in IT. He has had various roles ranging from analyst programmer, consultant, system developer and systems architect in start-up companies and FTSE 100 companies. Phuc is responsible for the development of the EIRIS Portfolio Manager software and other internal applications as well as managing the overall IT infrastructure and technical support services at EIRIS.

Martin Grocock, Technical Support Analyst
Martin joined EIRIS in December 2009 as Technical Support Analyst. He handles technical enquiries from clients regarding EIRIS Portfolio Manager, as well as resolving internal IT issues. Martin has gained commercial experience of development, acceptance testing and requirements analysis since graduating in Computer Science from Reading University in 2002. - Paul Keller, Analyst Programmer
Paul joined EIRIS in May 2004 and works on the development of EIRIS Portfolio Manager and other internal applications. After graduating from Staffordshire University with a degree in Business Information Technology, Paul joined the IT department of Three Valleys Water where he worked in a number of roles from roaming engineer to software design and development.
- Lee Smith, Analyst Programmer
Lee joined EIRIS in September 2008 and works on the development of EIRIS Portfolio Manager and other internal applications. He has over 6 years experience of developing systems using a variety of desktop and web based technologies.
Finance & Operations
Undertakes accountancy, finance and invoicing activities at EIRIS.
- Ruth Rose, Finance Administrator
Ruth joined EIRIS in December 2005 and is responsible for financial processes relating to clients, partners and suppliers, contracts and pensions administration. She graduated from the University of Malta in 1998 with a BSc and an MSc in Biology. Subsequently she worked as a diplomatic and policy officer in the Maltese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and taught physics at secondary level.
Personnel & Office Management
Deals with the day-to-day running of the organisation including recruitment, training, finance, administration and PA support for the Executive Director.
- Phil Baker, Personnel, Training & Office Manager
Phil joined EIRIS in October 2003 after 11 years at at Harlow Council in Essex where he was first Head of Staff Development and then Head of Personnel, responsible for all of the Council's people management and training policies and the day to day running of the Personnel Service. Phil is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
- Rachel Perry, Executive Assistant & Office Administrator
Rachel joined EIRIS in June 2010 and is currently the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director and Senior Management Team. She also works closely with the Personnel, Training & Office Manager undertaking ad-hoc projects and ensuring the smooth day to day running of the office. Prior to joining EIRIS Rachel worked as the Executive Assistant to the Managing Director of a premier branded, national, facilities management company and before that as the Personal Assistant to the Director General of the Association of IFAs and the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries as well as a short spell at the Financial Services Authority.
EIRIS Foundation Secretariat
- Rachel Withey, Executive Director of the EIRIS Foundation / Project Manager
Rachel joined EIRIS in May 2001 having previously worked as a Planning and Information Manager for the NSPCC. She works on special projects for EIRIS on a part-time basis and is the staff member responsible for the work of the EIRIS Foundation. Prior to taking her first period of maternity leave Rachel was EIRIS' Assistant Director.
