EIRIS Board of Directors

EIRIS' experienced Board provide strategic direction, guidance and accountability. It is comprised of professionals who together bring a wealth of experience on responsible investment issues.

Sally Britton (Chair of the EIRIS Board) is an organisation consultant specialising in corporate responsibility, change management, strategic planning and training, working with both businesses and not-for-profit organisations. Formerly a director of TwentyFifty Ltd, a consultancy advising a range of companies on human rights and related issues, Sally is now an independent consultant in the same field.

Roger Cowe is a director of the corporate responsibility consultancy Context, where he works with multinational clients on corporate responsibility strategy and communications. Roger began writing about socially responsible investment as a journalist on The Guardian newspaper in the 1980s before a career as a freelance business writer in related fields.

Yvonne Perry is a senior manager, campaigner and policy specialist. Yvonne has an extensive employment relations and change management record in self-financing, not-for-profit and membership organisations, including the Industrial Society/Work Foundation and the CBI.

Paul Simpson is Chief Operation Officer of the Carbon Disclosure Project and previously worked with Chesham Amalgamations and Investments Ltd, an independent M&A broker in the UK and for the International Society for Ecology and Culture. Paul is the former Director of the Social Venture Network.

Richard Singleton is former Director of Corporate Governance for F&C and has been involved since 1985 in fund management and engagement work connected with the Friends Provident Stewardship Committee and retail funds and with the Responsible Engagement Overlay (REO) service. Richard has also worked with the Association of British Insurers (ABI) and other industry and collaborative ventures to improve corporate governance generally.

Peter Webster has been Executive Director of EIRIS since 1983 and over that time has actively promoted responsible investment through conference presentations, practical advice for clients on the implementation of responsible investment approaches and by developing the services that EIRIS can provide. Peter is also Treasurer of the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance association (UKSIF).
